If you were to ask me what it is on a daily basis that I can count on to make me feel great and provide me with a sense of accomplishment I would say that it is health and fitness. The best part of my day is leaving the gym and knowing that I had a great workout and pushed my body to the limit. It provides me with confidence that translates to every other aspect of my life, including my career and personal relationships.
My passion for health and fitness started when I began training at 18 years old. After trying every fad diet and failing miserably, I was fed up and decided to do things the right way. I began training with a personal trainer, changed my eating habits, and as a result completely transformed body. The physical changes coupled with my love of nutrition allowed me to encompass a lifestyle that I not only began to embrace, but grew to love. As a result, I obtained my Can-Fit Pro personal training certification, began teaching boxing and boot camp classes, and training a variety of clients. Since then, I was fortunate enough to have been featured in the Fitness Star fall 2013 magazine issue in a 5 page glamour spread and have signed on with PERFECT Nutrition as one of their sponsored athletes.
With that being said, health and fitness is a part of my life that I can’t imagine living without. Protein pancakes, blender bottles, and chicken breast have become the norm in my household and surprisingly have gotten rave reviews from friends and family. I hope that I can share my story with others who are thinking to start making a positive change today, but have not yet made the commitment. The best advice I can give to anyone is that “In a year from now, you would have wished that you started today”.
